Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,
We thank the Lord for the provisions that He gives to you so that you can faithfully share with us during our retirement. Your prayers are helping us to stay healthy and strong so that Sandy’s foot will heal completely.
Steve is glad that Sandy is now able to walk with the assistance of a boot and a cane. She is able to begin helping with some of the cooking and house cleaning again. She still has constant discomfort from the healing process, but she does not have to use any pain reliever – praise the Lord. This is week #8 in the healing process. Thank you for your continued prayers for her complete healing and for the rehab that will follow.
We have posted a prayer request on our Facebook page about a young girl named Ellie. She had a brain tumor that was affecting her vision. The doctor was able to do surgery and removed ALL of the tumor. We praise the Lord for this YES answer to pray. Please pray for her as she is recovering in the hospital and that she will be able to return home soon.
We just received word from an Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) family in Papua New Guinea. The mother is 16 weeks pregnant with their third child. The doctor discovered that their baby has anencephaly. Their family is making the journey back to the USA today to receive adequate medical care for the rest of this difficult pregnancy. Thank you for your prayers for them as they accomplish these 30+ hours of airline travel with two young children. Their hearts are very grieved with the news of this terminal illness but know that all things are in the Lord’s hands.
A first cousin on Sandy’s mom’s side of the family went home to be with the Lord on the 15th. He was 87 years old. His wife asked if Steve would do his memorial service this coming Tuesday afternoon. Due to physical needs, living out of state, and this pandemic, his three children will not be able to attend. Please pray for his family to be strengthened and comforted during this time. As the late Billy Graham said, “Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it! I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”
Please continue to pray for our volunteer work in helping to restore hope to those who have been rescued from human trafficking. Pray that God would be glorified through our efforts and that the human trafficking would be stopped.
Listening for the trump,
Steve and Sandy Aholt
