We can honestly say this has been the most interesting Spring we have ever experienced! I’m sure many of you agree with our sentiment. We are very thankful to have been living in Slovakia during this time as the government has done an amazing job protecting the citizens and residents of this country. Slovakia had to put in extreme measures so that the health care system could handle this pandemic due to the lack of equipment and infrastructure here. Please pray for Slovakia’s leaders (pictured above) as they continue to monitor the epidemiological conditions in Slovakia and lift restrictions. Be assured that we are praying for you as we all seek to learn valuable lessons about ourselves and health in all areas through this worldwide pandemic.
God’s Church Continues To Grow
Although we weren’t able to meet as a church family for eight weeks, we took advantage of the opportunity to connect with one another through text and audio messages, audio prayers, youtube sermons, and videos of our daily lives.
We are grateful that these eight weeks of the pandemic have seemed to have brought us closer together as a church planting team and church! We have been able to meet over the past three weeks, albeit abiding by the government restrictions, and our attendance is about the same as before the pandemic! Please pray that all of us remain constantly aware of the lostness around us and continue to reach out to neighbors, friends, and others with the gospel.
Counting Our Blessings
During these nine weeks of sheltering in place, we have been thankful for so many things and truly have been counting our blessings. We have so enjoyed our two balconies, neighbors, neighborhood and walks in the forest.
It has been nice to have extra time to read and touch base with friends and colleagues. Due to people having extra time on their hands, Elise has been able to spend more time with women in online discipling relationships. Please pray that Anna, Martina, and Kristina would follow God in full and complete obedience to Him and His Word so that they can experience the abundant life He has for them to enjoy. Also, pray that our neighbors would be open to friendship and the gospel message. Thanks so much for your love, support and prayers on our behalf.
Trey & Elise
