January 2020
Blessed New Year to you! I pray your Christmas was filled with the awareness of Christ’s great sacrifice and mercy as He placed Himself in a woman’s womb and experienced human birth.
Thank you so much for your many cards, special Christmas gifts, greetings, and news of your families. I am blessed!
I have been planning to update you all and thank you in person for your continuing support this upcoming summer but, after prayer, counsel, and careful consideration, I have committed to remain here in order to further assist with the accreditation process. After spending months on writing, editing, and rereading the documents we recently submitted to the accrediting agency, I would like to be able to use that preparation to continue working on the documents. Lord willing, I will be traveling east instead in the summer of 2021. Thank you for continuing to support me in prayer and finances as the Lord directs.
We’ve had a snowy season already.
I’ve had a request to include a photo of myself, so here are a few recent photos, along with some current prayer requests.
Prayer requests:
- Pray for God’s blessing on the new semester which starts January 20. I will be team teaching Personal Finance, teaching Introduction to Missions, Piano, Guitar, and Voice, and directing the Life Coaching program.
- Pray that God would send the students He has chosen to attend IBC this semester. As far as I know, all but one will be returning from last semester and at least two new students have been accepted.
- Pray for Jason Koppen and his family as they are taking a sabbatical this semester. Please pray for their refreshment, renewed vision, rest, and blessed time as a family. Pray for the team remaining behind at IBC, especially Clint Ross as he will be acting president.
Thank you again so much!
Gratefully,
Martha
