Update on Cherrie’s heart condition
Thank you all sooo much for your PRAYERS today as we saw my rhythm cardiologist this afternoon, regarding my irregular pulse, low blood pressure, and Atrial Fibrillation. Dr Duran was very thorough, as usual, asking me lots of questions. At this time, he feels I should have an ablation, and not have a pacemaker installed. Maybe in the future that may be an option, but not at this time.
Cardiac ablation is a procedure to scar or destroy tissue in your heart that’s allowing incorrect electrical signals to cause an abnormal heart rhythm. Diagnostic catheters are threaded through blood vessels to your heart where they are used to map your heart’s electrical signals.
Dr Duran is an expert in doing that procedure, with folk coming from all over the USA, just to have him do it!!!! His calendar for doing that is really booked, so the earliest it can be done is the week of December 1st. I will be admitted to the hospital on December 2nd, having the ablation done on the 3rd, and hopefully be home by Friday the 6th.
He does not feel that the extreme tiredness is totally caused by meds I am on. Looking back on the past five years with 10 surgeries, I think it has taken its toll resulting in extreme tiredness and may be part of why my heart is acting up more. I have had heart issues since 1997, when we were in Australia, but this year has got worse. Of course, I am getting older, now being 75 years old which does not help!!!
Thank you all sooooo much for your PRAYERS and continued PRAYERS and BEING PART OF OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
