Dear Friends,

Thanks so much for your prayers! I am thrilled to announce that the Mengen New Testament is in its final stages at long last!! Right now, it is at our mission headquarters where a couple of people will be working to get it typeset (making it look like a Bible!) Then it will go through a few proofreading cycles to make sure all the headings, illustrations and content are just how we want it before it goes to the printers. So…..things are really rolling along at last. It seems surreal and I’m so excited for the Mengen church!! I know that having God’s Word in their own hands will make such a big difference in their lives!

It is hard to believe that it has been just 8 weeks since my final translation check in Papua New Guinea. However, the time has not been restful for me and the work has not really ceased! I have spent quite a few hours each day spell-checking the last several books and also reviewing a few key terms that needed to be tweaked. I have been quite weary but am thankful for good health otherwise. The Lord has allowed me a long stretch without MS symptoms and I’m so grateful that I could finish the work without added stress. It was a huge relief and burden lifted off my shoulders when I was able to send off the Mengen NT documents this last week!

Next month, I’ll be going to Florida to help speed along the proofreading process. The New Testament should be ready to go to the printers in August, if all goes well. I’ve heard that it could take about 3 months once gets sent off, so Lord willing we’ll be done sometime in the Fall.

We would love to have the Bible dedication in Papua New Guinea before Christmas and before rainy season sets in!!

Please pray that the rest of the work will go quickly and smoothly!!

After working like crazy for many months, it looks like I’ll be able to have a holiday pretty soon. After my time in Florida, I’ll be going to visit my sister and her family in Connecticut! I haven’t been there in 2 years, so I’m really excited to see everyone again. Hard to believe that I have a nephew graduating high school next year and my niece is just a year behind him! Too bad they live so far away!

As for the Mengen church, I have heard that Flanagans are doing well and are very busy. They have been having issues with their solar equipment and with some of their appliances so pray that the Lord would provide for their needs. Pray too for the Mengen church leaders, that the Lord would give them discernment and direction as they “lead the sheep”.

Thanks so much for praying for me and encouraging me throughout this whole journey! I appreciate you so much and thank the Lord for you.

Joyful, Joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love!
