Hey there,
Here is an update about the plane situation that UIM-Aviation is dealing with right now. In the picture below you can barely see this tiny crack that has caused so much stress! A tiny crack that says “danger if you land me.” A tiny crack that Paul and the other mechanics (Tony & Bill) found when doing the inspection. You know how we always ask you to pray for Paul to have good eyes during inspections?….Well, here is an example of “good eyes” doing the job God placed them to do. Thank you for praying. This is an urgent need. Would you be willing to give toward getting this plane back in Mexico flying? Would you share this with your pastor or mission’s committee?

Thanks again for your part in our ministry and in our family.
With love,
Laurel & Paul

29C is Grounded

Last month, our Cessna 206, “29C”, was flown to Tucson for its annual inspection. During the inspection, the mechanics discovered cracks in both landing gear castings. These cracks resulted in the plane being grounded.

Grounding 29C forces our other aircraft to fly more hours each month. Normally this would be okay, however, our other operational Cessna 206, “901”, is nearing the end of its usable engine life. Each engine is given a certain amount of time before it must be overhauled, and a typical overhaul costs around $60,000. 901 has a little under 200 hours before reaching that time limit, which means its overhaul is right around the corner.

If we can’t get 29C back in the air soon, we will have two planes grounded.

The loss of a plane will hinder ministry; pastors we transport to native churches will not be able to preach the good news, and any medical emergencies will have to be redirected and declined.

To put it simply, we have come to a red traffic light, bringing a vital part of our ministry to a halt. We are waiting on the Lord to change it back to green. Without these two planes flying, our base in Tepic will not have an aircraft.

Would you consider joining us in prayer as we work to get 29C flying again? Please pray we will be able to purchase the parts we need and for the discernment of our mechanics as they continue 29C’s inspection. In addition, please be praying for 901’s upcoming engine overhaul.

If the Lord is directing you to give to our ongoing airplane maintenance needs,  please visit this link.

1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us- whatever we ask- we know that we have what we asked of him.”
