Dear Friends,

Greetings from Canada! Just about 12 days ago I started my rugged journey around the world. For my first 2 flights, I was able to travel with friends from Hoskins which was a special gift from the Lord! Nice to have someone to visit with for a long day of flying. We parted ways in Hong Kong and then finally after more than 55 hours of travel, I made it to Texas! What a joy to see my dear friend Keri and her family again. I had such a fun week of sightseeing and visiting with “my” Pacheco family!!

I made it home to Canada in time for Easter! It is always a huge blessing to be able to attend our annual Good Friday service and to spend the weekend with family. I’m looking forward to some more family time coming up this week as our extended family will be getting together!

At the moment, I am resting and trying to recover a bit from the past 3 months. I’ve come home mentally drained and pretty exhausted. However, I don’t want to take too much time out!! In the days ahead, I will be busy formatting the Mengen New Testament and getting it ready to be printed. That’s much easier said than done. I’m still a little lost as to the whole process, so I would appreciate your prayers, that I could find the help I need to navigate this unknown pathway.

I would also appreciate your prayers for me as I settle back into life in Canada. It’s always difficult to say goodbye to Papua New Guinea and my life and friends over there. I am seeking the Lord’s will for what He has for me once the Mengen NT is printed. I would love to be involved in ministry and am open to whatever the Lord has for me.

As for the Mengen church, they are having their share of struggles. One of our main Bible teachers has wandered away from the Lord and his marriage and life is a real mess at the moment. Please pray that the Lord would break his pride and show him the consequences of his sin. Pray too for our church leaders, that the Lord would help them navigate this really difficult time.

On the positive note, my co-workers the Flanagan family finally made it back into Lele village!! They had been away for more than 6 years, but the Lord brought them back and we are all so happy!! Pray for Simon and Annika and their 5 kids as they settle back into life in the tribe. Simon is busy doing some renovations on their house and Annika is homeschooling 3 kids and getting back to the routine of cooking and chores without many conveniences! Sounds like most of their appliances are giving them trouble and I’m not sure how their internet is doing. I know they would appreciate your prayers. They also are on their own in the tribe, so pray that they can have great times of fellowship with the Mengen believers and that the Lord would encourage their hearts.

Thanks once again for your prayers for me over the past 3 months. It was truly amazing to see how the Lord went before me and carried me every step of the way.

Christ is Risen!! Hallelujah, what a Savior.
