Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement these last couple of weeks. I have heard from dozens of people saying that they are praying for the Mengen translation check and all that it entails. Right now we are in our most difficult days. We have finished the books of John and Matthew and are now just over halfway through the book of Revelation.

Today was particularly difficult as the 3 Mengen men are exhausted and are having difficulty concentrating. It’s a combination of the many long hours we have already put in and also the fact that they are not getting much sleep at night. The house they are staying in is right beside a very busy road filled with big trucks hauling shipping containers and other busy traffic. The place where I am staying is way on the other side of the campus, and even I can hear the loud crashing of trucks on the rough road at night!! I feel so bad for them. They are from a quiet jungle location where the loudest noise at night would be crickets and croaking toads!!

Please pray that the Lord would give Alex, Jack and Damien a peaceful night’s sleep tonight. We still have 9 chapter of Revelation to do tomorrow, which is really a lot to ask of them. Then on Friday and Saturday we will be doing the book of Hebrews which is filled with all kinds of difficulty on it’s own.

As for myself, I am pretty weary but not too bad. I praise the Lord for the good night’s sleep I can have each night and the rest it brings me. Thankful too that I’m staying in a nice guest house where all my meals are provided.

Thanks so much for your prayers. The battle is the Lord’s.

Becky
