Greetings all,

Just to let you know that the eagle has landed and that my trip went well. We had very mild headwinds going from Denver up over Alaska and down to Tokyo which put us in to Japan an hour early. I was thankful for one less hour to have to sit on the airplane. The trip was on schedule down to Asia Pacific and landed in the capital city at about 11:45 p.m. Got through Immigration and customs without any questions so that was nice. I had a little bit of a concern when I went to the first ATM machine and got an “error message” with no cash. I was hoping that didn’t mean the bank didn’t get my information put in correctly for where I would be using my atm card.

Thankfully the next ATM machine I tried worked fine so I was glad not to have to make any midnight calls to my bank in Nebraska last night. I didn’t get in bed until about 2:30 a.m. Went right to sleep and woke up about 7:00 a.m. Thought I would lay down again for awhile only to fall in a deep sleep and not wake up again until 9:15 a.m. I was really glad for the extra sleep after the 36 hour trip, but had to scurry to get down to the free breakfast which closed down at 10:00 a.m. I was especially looking forward to the good coffee they have in this country! I have been in contact with Jeanne and also with Geoff and Tina since being here and all is well with them. I will be headed up to the province tomorrow. Communication will be hit and miss while I am here but do my best to stay in contact when I can. We sure do appreciate your prayers!

May God Richly Bless,

Ed Casteel
