“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven–” Eccl. 3:1 ESV
We are welcoming the arrival of the fall season here in Kennewick. Cool nights, crisp days with the autumn leaves presenting a kaleidoscope of color. Quite a contrast to the hot, smoky days of summer. During those recent months there were quite a few forest fires in the Pacific northwest with the prevailing winds blowing the smoke into the Columbia Basin area. Yes, the scenes in a changing nature landscape can certainly present a pleasing visual feast. In contrast, when thinking about the sin nature of mankind, we understand that it is something that is most certainly not pleasant and in great need of fixing.
One individual amongst the Menyan people in Papua New Guinea confessed that, “God Himself must fix our nature. Only He can do it.” Please click this link to read the article on how the church was birthed amongst this people group.
Regarding the Ethnos360 Connection Center Associate Program, I’m pleased to say that all but one of our new associate members are now serving in their places of ministry. PTL! The one individual not yet serving in ministry will in 3 months be departing for Papua New Guinea. Her name is Summer and she will be serving as the Communications Manager for the mission. If you would, please pray that her needs would be met and that she would be greatly encouraged as she prepares to leave family and friends.
I’m currently working with a number of individuals in the application process and soon it appears we will have 5 approved associates for next June’s pre-field orientation (PFO) Teachers especially are in short supply and we are hoping that quite a few of these skilled professionals will apply for a season of teaching overseas. The Ethnos360 Connection Center team is praying for 20 new associates for short term ministries and 70 candidates to enter the training at the Ethnos360 Missionary Training Center next August.
Thinking about change, it looks like our time in the tri-cities will be coming to an end in the new year. It is not an easy thing to think about as we are close to our children, grandchildren and other family members here in Washington state. Presently, the thought is to return to Sanford, Florida where I will continue as an associate coach with the Ethnos360 Connection Center for a season.
Thank you for your prayers! Please be praying that the Lord would continue to raise up Laborers who will take the gospel to those frontier areas of the world. Watch this short video for more information.
In 2,500 of the world’s 6,500 people groups, there is no church, nor is there any work being done to establish a church. Through evangelism, literacy, Bible teaching, translation and discipleship, Ethnos360 establishes mature churches among these unreached people groups.
God bless you richly! You are appreciated!
A Thriving Church for Every People,
