Dear friends,
The new school year is up and running and we have a packed campus! Thanks for your prayers for our preparations.

IBC is deeply committed to raising up Christ-like servant leaders, and we have a great group of student leaders this year. Four of our student leaders are leading their own mentoring groups! This is an amazing sign of the fruitfulness of IBC training students to be disciplemakers. Please pray for the developing student leaders pictured below; their biographical information is in the caption below the picture.

Back row – Jamie (Spokane from Ford WA), Donna (Navajo from Shonto, AZ), Amanda, (Anglo from Wiggins, CO), Deedra (Hopi, from Kykotsmovi, AZ), Fishii (Yakama from Toppenish, WA), William (Nez Perce from Lapwai, ID), Samantha (Muscogee-Creek from Welty, OK) Middle row – Sheldon (Zuni Pueblo from Zuni, NM), Roman (Navajo from Two Gray Hills, NM), Robby (Navajo from Buckeye, AZ), Barlow (Zuni Pueblo from Zuni NM) Front row – Logan (Blackfoot from Lethbridge, AL), Hawk (Modoc from Allyn, WA)

We are praising God that IBC hit its goal of 15 accepted students, but only 11 are now enrolled. The enemy actually took out two students that made it into Flagstaff from out of state, only to turn around and go back home. We felt great heartache over both of these students. The picture below is of the 11 new students, who are from eight different Native tribes and seven different states! Their biographical information will be coming out in the upcoming school newsletter. Please pray for these students as they start their time at IBC.

Our Director of Development and Academic Dean have both resigned from IBC this summer, and I am trying to cover the responsibilities of both of those roles. During my first five years at IBC I covered these three roles, and I am back to doing all three again! It is too much for one person, and has meant some very long days over the last few weeks. Please pray for strength and wisdom for myself and my family in these challenging days. Also, please pray for the Lord to fill these important staff roles as soon as possible! Thank you for standing with us in prayer! We are so grateful to have so many of God’s people partnering with us on behalf of seeing trained Native Christians reaching and leading their own people.
Gratefully Christ’s servants,
Jason and Sarah Koppen
