Dear Team Members,

G’Day from wet Florida!!!!!!! As I was typing this it was thundering and lightning in our area!! We think this is the wettest year since we arrived 11 years ago this month. We are trying to be prepared for hurricane season this year. Last year when hurricane Erma hit Florida we left for Georgia, but this year, hopefully there will be no bad storms, we will stay put. I do not travel well with needing a knee replacement in October, so if there are any bad storms we plan on staying put. At present we are on the go with a number of doctor appointments, etc. before that time. Both Charlie and I would appreciate your prayers with so much having gone on in my life the past four years!!!

How thankful we are for your Love and Prayers and Friendship in the Lord!!!GOD BLESS YOU DEAR FOLK!! 1st Thessalonians 1:2 “We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers.”

Our hearts are encouraged as we recently heard of the increased interest both in the young people and also the detention center personnel in knowing more about the Lord. Plus, there is more interest in the prison ministry Bible Study papers to correct. Thank you for your prayers – PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!

Our 55th Anniversary was on June 14th. Friends had sent us a gift to go out to eat, which we did at our Favorite Restaurant “Betty’s A1A Café” in Ormond Beach. They have fried clams, which I love, and salmon, which Charlie loves! At the end of our meal, we decided to have chocolate cream pie and asked for two forks, so we could share the huge piece together. Well, about six of the workers came to our table with the pie, with music in the background and Dean Martin signing “Amore” and them singing along with him!!! One waitress was carrying a candelabra and lighted it. I was in tears :o) They actually did the same when we were there for our 50th Anniversary!!! It was all SOOO SPECIAL! As we got to our car the temperature was 113 in the car, so to top the day off, it was a HOT DATE :o) Thank you all for your Happy 55th Anniversary Wishes! GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!!!!

All BECAUSE OF JESUS,

I (Since I was in my teens) have been taking photos!!!!!!!!!!!! I have albums of photos and boxes of photos which I sooooo want to do something with – a bit over whelming!!!!!!!!!! You should see our spare room that we use as an office! It has a futon all set up as a bed, BUT I use it as a giant table to put things on, plus boxes of Genealogy items and photos beside the futon that I am SLOWLY going through!!!!!!!!! A lot of the photos we took out of albums to save on shipping cost before we transitioned back to the USA from Australia. So many albums are already full of family memories we treasure!!!!!!!!!!!

So, LAST NIGHT, I started going through a box of photos from our lives since 1969, when we stepped out by faith, to start journeying around the world. That first started in Canada with our training with New Tribes mission in Ontario. Then 34 years between Australia and New Zealand. In those years, our son Ray had his 9th Birthday on board the ship we took in 1973 to Australia, five years in New Zealand where both our son Ben and our daughter Esther were born, and then back to Australia. In the midst of the last 49 years, with furloughs to the USA, there have been trips to the Philippines, England, Germany, Russia, Canada for both or all of us, and trips alone by Charlie to Central Asia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, and Russia.

So, as you can imagine, our home is a photo gallery on walls, book shelves and in boxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW, BACK TO LAST NIGHT: going through photos and seeing all the friends (like yourselves) the Lord has brought into our lives, and many are now with the Lord, I was overcome with emotions – JOYFUL EMOTIONS!!!!!!!!! And TEARFUL EMOTIONS!!!!!!!!!

MEMORIES INCLUDING FAMILY AND YOU ALL ARE JOYFUL because it means that each one, which includes YOU, are in our hearts, as well as those gone before us to be with our Lord and Savior :o) It reminds me of talks Charlie and I have had through my cancer journey: “It is a WIN WIN situation! If I get well, I WIN! If, I die and go to be with the Lord, I WIN!!!!!!!”

OUR HEARTS ARE FULL OF JOY AND WE THANK THE LORD FOR EACH ONE OF YOU!!!!!!!! SEEING HOW HE IS USING YOU OVERSEAS, OR IN YOUR HOME COUNTRY THRILLS OUR HEARTS!!!!!!!!!!!! PLUS WE THANK THE LORD FOR YOU BEING PART OF OUR JOURNEY WITH HIM 🙂
