It has been a while since we’ve sent one of these out. I (Jim) had pneumonia and then we both got a gastric bug, but we are on the mend.

As you can see, this is an isolated airstrip in the Pawaia Tribe. We presently have a team of 4 teachers in there teaching Course One and will follow that with a teacher training course. We have no contact with them, so ask you to pray for their health and for attentive students.

We had 7 men from Hela Province with us for 6 weeks. It was the first group who was sponsored by scholarship funds sent in by donors. They finished courses 1-3 and the book of Romans. Their last week, they had teacher training. They have returned and we’ve heard two of them have been asked by their church leaders to teach what they have learned to the congregations.

Locally, we have several Bible studies going on in our little community with about 50 students attending. Pray for salvation and obedience to the truth. Please Pray for all these things. By the way, we are due to depart for home assignment on August 1st. Rejoicing in Him,
