Dear Team Members,
Wow this year is really flying by!!! We trust for those of you, who are facing a horrible winter, that the worst is past!
This past month has seen a man of God, Billy Graham, graduate to his heavenly home!! He was 99 years old and FAITHFUL to his Savior!!!!!!! On face book I read the following: “Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t believe a word of it. I should be more alive than I am now. I will just have a changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.” It was probably around 1958, when I was 14, that I heard Billy Graham preach the Gospel so simply, I could understand it. I was baby sitting and watching one of his crusades. I remember hearing that I was a sinner and that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for my sins. I remember trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior that night. John chapter 3 verse 16 became real in my heart: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” That simple message he has preached over the years has touched so many lives, and I can picture upon his arrival in Heaven he heard the words “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
We thank the Lord for you and the part you have had over the years in the lives of those around you, and also in our lives and those we have had a part in training to reach the unreached.
God Bless and encourage you day by day as you walk with Him,
Charlie & Cherrie
Cherrie’s Musings:
Being aware that Easter Sunday is just five weeks away and with my love of music, this song means a lot to us:
Hallelujah, What a Savior! By P.P. Bliss
“Man of sorrows,” what a name For the Son of God who came, Ruined sinners to re-claim! Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude, In my place condemned He stood, Sealed my pardon with His blood; Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we; Spotless Lamb of God was He; “Full atonement,” can it be! Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Lifted up was He to die, “It is finished,” was His cry, Now in heaven exalted high, Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King, All His ransomed, home to bring, Then anew this son we’ll sing, Hallelujah! What a Savior!
