Greetings all,
Sorry for being a couple of days late with this email. I am still in jet lag and trying to my act together. Just to let you know that my flight on Friday went great and everything was on perfect schedule. I was able to get through Customs and Immigration with no issues and landed in Lincoln, Nebraska 23 hours after departure from Asia Pacific which I think is an all time record. Jeanne was there to meet me and it was so good to see her after over six weeks of being away. We spent the night in Lincoln and then drove back home on Saturday.
It was another very encouraging trip for me. All of our missionary teams have a “purpose statement” to help keep them on track. However I think the best purpose statement was already stated by our Lord and Savior in Matthew 28:18-20.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
During the months of August and September we were blessed to have 38 baptisms in our Wana village of Padalempe! It is surely a blessing to see folks continuing to come to know the Lord and then to follow Him in believer’s baptism. And then to be reminded through these public testimonies of Christ’s words a few chapters earlier in the same book where he tells Peter, “….I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Thanks so much for your being a part of our team for all these years to see the Wana people have a chance to hear the Gospel and be a part of HIS Church.
Blessings,
Ed n Jeanne
